The Launch

So today Slikk.com went public, together with the all new MySlikk.com. So, you ask, what's the big deal? The big deal is that now when you do a search on Slikk.com, you can instantly add any result that you like, to a MySlikk collection that is stored permanently on MySlikk.com.

Whether you are researching something in the news, history, geography, medicine, science, a place you want to visit, a product you're considering buying, your favorite football team/performer/group/car/hobby or whatever, any time that you find a result that's relevant or a picture/video that you like, you just click "add it" and it gets saved in to that collection.

Of-course with Slikk.com you'll be finding the right stuff in a fraction of the time, by opening the results right on the search page. In fact, once you have the desired results open in the SlikkWindow, you can just click "MySlikk all open results" to save them all to a collection with a single click.

If you want to share your results (privately or publicly) all you need do is share the URL of the MySlikk collection and everything is included.

Not only are all the links there, waiting for you [or anyone else] to continue your research at your convenience, but the page actually comes along with Slikk technology that allows you to browse everything right there on the page.

Forget about having to look for what you have already found once. Forget about having to look for open tabs that got lost among all your open tabs. You can't imagine the amount of time that Slikk will save you and the amount of frustration that Slikk will spare you.

Log in to MySlikk.com is -as of today- through Facebook or Twitter, but very soon there will also be the option of signing up through the site. Likewise, we will be adding many new features (liking, commenting, adding to your existing collections etc.) on an almost daily basis. So stay tuned!

Demo 2012

The excitement here is boundless! After months of closed beta testing, we are about to launch the new version of slikk.com [in public beta] together with its sister site myslikk.com [also in public beta] at the Demo conference.

By demo's rules we can't publish the details yet about what these sites can do, but that's only for another day or two - so stay tuned. Although myslikk is at an earlier stage of development than slikk is, the pair is guaranteed to dramatically change websearch forever!

We, again, want to thank all our beta-testers for their great feedback. We also want to congratulate them on being part of the social-websearch revolution.

We want to thank all those who registered to beta-test Slikk! The enthusiastic and incredibly constructive feedback we've been receiving in the forums has already helped us implement a myriad of improvements. Here are just some of the improvements we made:

Page design: we've totally overhauled our search result page design. It is now really streamlined and really cool.

Spelling: as requested, we now have spelling suggestions.

Copy/paste tab url's: as requested, you can now copy urls from the right-hand tabs (TabView). You can also just click the link to open it in a separate browser tab.

And more! The one thing more important to us than anything is that YOU should find what you want in Slikk. As we've mentioned before, if there's any feature you'd like to see implemented, let us know and we'll get on it!

Our offer for one hundred shares in Slikk Inc for beta registrants still stands, so if you haven't registered yet, or if you haven't posted your feedback on the forum yet, feel free to go right ahead and do so!

Launching The Slikk Beta!

Today we launched the Slikk beta! After extensive internal testing of our features, we're now looking to hear the opinion of others, so you're invited to sign up for our beta. And boy, are we making it worth your while! In addition to having first dibs on the most advanced search engine in the universe, we're giving away one hundred shares of stock to the first 500 beta registrants! We're ready and eager to show what we've done, and well as to hear what you think of it!
